Contemporary Bathroom Vanity Selections

Modern vanities are multifunctional bathroom fixtures that offer both practical storage and aesthetic upgrades to bath spaces. Aside from providing plumbing and fixtures, vanities also keep bathroom contents handy, organized and well-stored. Currently, there is a surge in vanity designs that make them widely available in the market; some are offered for as low as $50, while other high-quality and furniture-like pieces can be bought for $5,000 and above. For the most part, there is no such thing as best style when it comes to vanities considering that each of them are designed to complement different bathroom designs; indicated below are the most common types of vanities.

First in the list are wall-mounted modern vanities. These pieces are perhaps the most common types of vanities usually incorporated in small urban houses where bathroom spaces are usually tight. As their name implies, wall-mounted vanities are positioned on walls without floor support. They are installed on walls with the aid of hanger brackets attached to the wall and wall back ups, while their plumbing and supply lines can either be exposed or concealed behind the walls depending on the owners desired effect.

Vessel sink cabinets are relatively new additions to bathroom vanity designs. In this form of vanity, the sink is situated atop a countertop held by a floor vanity base, which is fastened to a wall for firm sitting. As its name implies, a vessel sink vanity has a bowl shaped basin into which the water flows from the faucet and drawers for storage purposes. The vessel itself could be molded from a variety of materials including glass, porcelain, granite and more.

A pedestal contemporary vanity is a form of bathroom fixture befitting tight bathroom spaces. As its name connotes, a pedestal vanity is a stand alone furnishing that holds the sink on a pedestal, often fastened to the wall for stability. Plumbing and supply lines can be concealed behind the pedestal, which makes the fixture appear clean and organized. This vanity usually comes as a set, complete with faucet, detached mirror, sink, towel rack, ptrap and drain.

Contemporary vanity with cabinets is more like high-quality furniture especially made for bathroom that could hold all types of sink such as vessel sink, drop-in sink, undermount sink, and surface mounted sink. It can either be a single sink or double sink vanity, but it is larger compared to other types of vanities, which is why it is commonly seen in large bathrooms like those in hotels. It typically has a solid countertop that can be made from marble, granite, solid wood and metal among others. This is a highly-functional piece that often holds together the mirror, sink and cabinets.

All in all, there's a wide variety of modern vanities that could suit any bathroom space and design. In choosing a vanity, always try to look at the design and materials that would best adhere to the overall design of your bath space. Go for a vanity that will suit your budget, but also take into account the quality of your choice. With the selections available in the market, for sure you'll never run out of vanity designs that would produce consistent appearance that would tie your bathroom together.

Modern vanities are always good additions inside bathrooms. Aside from serving as the focal points of bath spaces, they also provide spaces to store bathroom supplies and tools, keeping bath areas clean and organize. There's a whole variety of contemporary vanity designs available. Some boast drawers and excellent-looking sink such as vessel sink cabinets, while some are stand alone fixtures like pedestal vanities.
